Rules Clarification #1

  • Fishing is allowed only while fishing from shore. This includes fishing from jetties, and from shore in bays and estuaries, as long as your are allowed by law to do so. Piers are not included
  • You are only allowed to submit entries for the following target species: Surf Perch, Corbina, Spotfin Croaker, Yellowfin Croaker, California Halibut, Striper Bass, and any shark, ray or guitarfish. Only these species will be counted.
  • For the "Single Day High Score" prize category, only your best single day catch is counted towards your score (all allowed species combined). So you can fish as many days as you want during the tournament period, but only your best day will be used to calculate your score.
  • For example:
    • Tuesday - you catch five 8" perch, a 14" Corbina, and an 18" halibut. Your score for Tuesday is: (5 * 8) + 14 + 18 = 72 points
    • Wednesday - you catch a single 52" leopard shark and a 22" White Seabass Your score is: 52 points. The 22" WSB is not one of the eligible species, so it does not count
    • Thursday - you catch fifteen 6" perch, and four 9" Spotted Bay Bass. Your score is: (15 * 6) = 90 points. The Spotted Bay Bass is not one of the eligible species, so they do not count.
  • So Thursday's score of 90 points will be the score used for your "Single Day High Score" entry
  • In addition, your 8" perch, 14" corbina, 18" halibut and 52" leopard shark will be considered for the "Largest of a Species" prize, but there are no prize categories for White Seabass or Spotted Bay Bass
